01 — The philosophy

A bath drawn from a single block of stone is not a fixture. It is the quietest object in the house, and the one most likely to outlast it. Each Earthmade vessel is carved from one block — nothing cast, nothing assembled, nothing repeated — and finished until the stone decides where the water gathers.

Our story

The distance is ours to carry.

We choose the stone, oversee its making, and carry everything that comes after — the ocean freight, the customs and every duty, the insurance, and a tonne of stone stood gently level in your room. One person stays with you, from your first message to installed. If anything goes wrong, it is ours to make right — never yours to chase.

03 — The making

Carved from one block.
No seams. No shortcuts.

Every vessel is carved from a single quarried block over months — the calibre of stone that supplies luxury hotels and private residences across Europe and Asia. We choose the block, approve the drawings, and follow every phase. Because the piece is one continuous run of stone the veining is unbroken and no two are alike; the interior is brought to a mirror, the exterior left at the finish the stone calls for.

Walls are carved to a 60 mm standard and labelled to the exact millimetre on the production drawings you approve. We follow each phase with photographs; nothing leaves until it has passed its water test, and every commission travels with its measured weights and a chain-of-custody document, from quarry to your door.

Every commission travels under transit insurance, the sum insured stated in writing on your order.
We ship worldwide; within the US, delivered duty-paid to your threshold — nothing payable on arrival.

Warm as the desert it came from.

04 — Clientele & service

For the home that is built once.

Atelier Earthmade is not a catalogue. Each vessel is chosen and made for a single room — the stone selected, the block carved, and every step between the block and your bathroom carried by us: ocean freight, customs and duties, transit insurance, and white-glove delivery. You deal with one point of contact; we carry the complexity.

Privately curated

A specialist, not a sales desk

You are matched with an account manager who knows the stone. Material, dimensions and finish are chosen for your room alone — one vessel, sourced and overseen for one home.

Worldwide · duty-paid in the US

Delivered, insured, to your threshold

We ship worldwide. Within the United States the price is all-inclusive: ocean freight, export crating, transit insurance and every import duty settled before the piece ships, delivered by appointment to your ground-floor threshold — nothing to pay on arrival. Outside the US, freight and duty are arranged and quoted for your country.

Kept for a lifetime

An object to be inherited

Stone does not date. Each vessel arrives with its measured weights, a care guide and a chain-of-custody document — the beginning of a piece that will be passed on, not replaced.

The 72-hour window

When you approve your quote and submit your deposit, we hold the commission for 72 hours while we confirm block availability, workshop scheduling and the exact landed logistics for your address. Either of us may cancel during this window for a full refund. Once confirmed, your block is reserved and carving begins.

Transit insurance

Every vessel travels fully insured in transit, with the sum insured stated in writing on your order. The cover runs from origin to your threshold, carried in the price — there is nothing for you to arrange.

If it arrives damaged

Inspect the crate on delivery. If the piece is damaged, refuse the delivery and do not sign for it — that refusal is precisely what allows the insurance claim to proceed. We then remake the piece or refund you in full. A signed acceptance closes that door, so please look first.

Why Earthmade

Not a marketplace listing.

A marketplace / Etsy listing

  • A stock photo of someone else's tub — not the stone you receive.
  • No idea who carved it, or whether it is solid stone at all.
  • No one to call; a message queue, answered whenever.
  • You arrange the freight, the customs and the insurance.
  • If it cracks in transit, that is your problem to chase.

Atelier Earthmade

  • Your own block of natural stone, carved to order for one room.
  • A named account manager who knows your piece, start to finish.
  • Photographs of the real blocks to choose from before you commit.
  • Delivered duty-paid, fully insured, door to door — worldwide.
  • Refuse-on-damage guarantee: we remake it or refund you in full.
  • White-glove delivery to your door by specialist partners — placement on request.

How we work

From first message to your threshold.

One dedicated account manager, the whole way through — no queue, no hand-offs. Here is exactly how it goes.

01

Within 24 hours

A person, not a queue

You are matched with a dedicated account manager who knows the stone — the same person from first message to delivery. We reply within 24 hours, every time.

02

The 72-hour window

Choose your stone

We send you photographs of the actual blocks from our suppliers and guide you through material, finish and dimensions for your room. You approve the stone and the drawings, place a deposit, and either of us may cancel for a full refund until the window closes.

03

14–22 weeks

Carved, and kept in view

Your block is carved by hand in our partner workshop. Your manager follows up with photographs at each phase — rough, refined, then the polished interior — so you watch it become yours.

04

Before it ships

Water-tested & crated

Every piece is water-tested, then crated and fully insured. We settle the freight and all US import duty as the importer of record.

05

To your door

Delivered worldwide

Delivered to your threshold by our white-glove partners — freight, duty and insurance carried in the price. Full placement, and a ceremonial unboxing, on request — so it feels like opening something rare.

06

For a lifetime

Cared for, after

Your vessel arrives with its measured weights, a care guide and a chain-of-custody document. Your manager stays reachable for the life of the piece.

White-glove delivery partnership

How a tonne of stone reaches your bathroom.

A vessel weighs from 300 to over 1,200 kg. We move it with our white-glove logistics partners — specialists in monolithic stone. The freight, every duty and tariff, transit insurance and door-to-door delivery to your threshold are all carried in the price and choreographed to your building. Moving a tonne of stone is our craft, not your problem.

01

Access & load survey

Before a block is cut we confirm the route in writing — doorway widths, stair turns, lift dimensions and the floor's load rating. If the structure needs reinforcing beneath the piece, we tell you early, with the exact figures for your engineer.

02

Custom crate & sea freight

Each vessel is foamed, braced and sealed inside a bespoke timber crate built to its own weights, then shipped by sea on a dedicated pallet. Transit insurance runs from origin, the sum insured stated on your order.

03

Rigging the last metres

The hardest part is the final room. Our crew moves the piece on stair-skates and machine dollies — or by crane and window-hoist where a staircase will not take it — planned to your building in advance, never improvised on the day.

04

White-glove placement

On request, our white-glove partners uncrate, carry, set and level the vessel exactly where it will live, check the seal, and remove every scrap of packaging — the full hands-in-your-home service, so the first time you see it, it is simply there.

05

Ready for your plumber

Vessels are freestanding; you choose floor- or wall-fed fillers and the waste position. We supply a drain-and-tap template and the exact rough-in drawings, so your plumber pre-sets everything before the piece arrives.

06

If anything is wrong

Inspect the crate before you sign. If the piece is damaged you refuse delivery and do not sign — that refusal is precisely what lets us remake it or refund you in full. No argument, no chasing.

Pricing & import

One price. Everything carried.

All listed prices include ocean freight, transit insurance, and US import duties and customs clearance. We are the importer of record — nothing is payable on delivery. For commissions outside the contiguous US, or for stones with additional tariff exposure, we confirm the exact landed cost in writing before any deposit is taken.

Your commission includes

Curated stone selection & production oversight · ocean freight and export crating · transit insurance with named coverage · US customs clearance and duty payment · appointment delivery to your threshold · one dedicated point of contact, from first message to installed.

No price surprises

Natural stone crosses borders and tariffs move. We never quote a fixed number without a buffer — your written quote states the confirmed landed cost, and that is the price. Nothing is added at the door.

A deposit, not the full price

You approve a written quote and place a deposit to begin — not the full amount up front. The 72-hour window opens, and only once your block and logistics are confirmed does the commission lock.

Questions, answered plainly

The honest answers.

Why does it cost this much?

You are paying for one block of natural stone, carved by hand over months — and for everything we carry so you never touch it: ocean freight, transit insurance, US customs and every import duty, and white-glove delivery to your door. We are the importer of record; nothing is added at the border. A cheaper listing is almost always a thinner stone, a resin cast, or those costs and risks handed back to you.

How long will it last?

Stone outlasts the house around it. Sealed and simply cared for, an Earthmade vessel is an heirloom — the kind of object that is inherited, not replaced. Each one ships with a care guide, and your manager stays reachable for its lifetime.

What if it doesn't fit, or arrives damaged?

We confirm your dimensions, floor loading and delivery access in writing before a single block is cut — nothing is left to chance. If a piece arrives damaged, you refuse the delivery and do not sign; that refusal is what lets us remake it or refund you in full.

Can I see the actual stone first?

Yes. During the 72-hour window your account manager sends photographs of the real blocks, so you choose the exact stone — veining and all — before anything is committed. It is the opposite of a stock photo.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. At checkout you can pay in full or split the cost into monthly payments with Shop Pay Installments — the option appears automatically at the payment step when eligible. Everything is processed securely through Shopify; nothing is handled off-platform.
