Calacatta is the rarest of the white marbles — a bright, cool ground crossed by broad grey veins that run like ink through water. Cut from one block into a wide, open bowl, it is the most architectural vessel in the collection: the veining draws the eye the length of the stone and settles it. Little decoration; all structure.

  • Material: Single-block White Calacatta Marble
  • Dimensions: 1950 × 920 × 560 mm · 76.8 × 36.2 × 22.0 in
  • Wall: 60 mm / 2.4 in uniform, fixed on the drawings you approve
  • Weight, empty: approx. 850 kg / 1,874 lb
  • Weight, filled and occupied: approx. 1,335 kg / 2,943 lb
  • Lead time: 14–22 weeks from order to delivery

Please confirm floor loading. Filled and occupied this vessel approaches 1,335 kg (2,943 lb) over roughly 1.79 m² (19.3 ft²). On a ground-floor slab this is rarely a question; on a timber upper floor it usually wants checking. Have your architect or structural engineer confirm the floor before you order — we send the measured figures at no charge. Full data for the collection is on the specifications page.

On the stone. Calacatta is quarried in Italy and is genuinely rare — it commands several times the price of Carrara, and a great deal of what is sold as Calacatta is not. This piece is priced for the real stone. If you are comparing it against a cheaper "Calacatta" elsewhere, ask the four questions first.

Made to order. The price includes crating, freight, transit insurance with the sum insured stated in writing on your order, and all US import duty and customs charges. Atelier Earthmade is the importer of record — nothing further is payable on delivery. Delivered to the ground-floor threshold within the United States; rigging and installation are not included.

Ordering, cancellation and delivery. Your order is held for three days while we read the access, the floor and the route to your threshold, and confirm that plan to you in writing. Within 72 hours of payment clearing either of us may step back — you for any reason, us if the making or the logistics cannot be confirmed — with a full refund. After that window the block is bought and cut, and the commission is final unless we agree otherwise in writing. If the piece arrives damaged you must refuse the delivery — do not sign for it; that refusal is what permits the transit insurance claim. See terms of sale and refunds & cancellation.
